Bruny Island is renowned for its quiet beaches and untamed wildlife. Only 30 minutes from Hobart (and then 20 minutes on the ferry) you feel like you could be in a remote part of Scandinavia. Here lies Bruny Boathouse which is situated on the western shore of the isle with sweeping panoramic views across D’Entrecasteaux Channel. Dotted with shacks and boats that have come to dock, the coastline can be viewed directly from the themed lounge area, with high cathedral ceilings and sweet sailing pieces adorning the walls. Breathe in the clean Tasman air, take walks along the pristine sands, swim in the ocean and enjoy all the local produce the area has to offer.
