Cadaghi Cabin is not simply a cabin, it’s a labour of love meticulously crafted by skilled Swiss cabinetmaker, Marcel. The sustainable timber sanctuary, nestled in a lush glen in Ninderry on the Sunshine Coast – not far from Spirit House restaurant – may seem like something from the pages of a fairytale. The enchantment is real though. Inside, waste finds purpose and each piece of furniture carries a story within its grains. The recycled timber floors and antique windows add a rustic charm, breathing new life into reclaimed materials. Beyond the cabin’s walls lies a tranquil dam adorned with yellow water lilies – enjoy it from the handcrafted timber swings – as well as a natural waterway, where owners Rachael and Marcel have lovingly planted 4000 indigenous trees. If you’re up for more storybook encounters, meet Taco, the white Shetland pony, who’ll gladly accept pats in exchange for carrots. Settle in for a platter of local cheeses around the firepit or on the back deck (for stunning sunset views) before retiring to the cosy queen bed. Don’t forget to check the shop too – filled with hanging baskets, cutting boards and small furniture items – so you can take away more than memories.
