Indica Hemp House is a newly completed luxury eco-retreat in the Margaret River Region. Meticulously designed for sustainability & comfort, it features polished burnished concrete floors & 30% natural hempcrete internal walls. Remaining walls are finished in smooth acrylic clay render or Marbellino plaster in the ensuites.
SUSTAINABILITY
Achieving an 8.7/10 NatHERS energy efficiency rating, the home uses passive solar design & hempcrete’s natural insulation for year-round thermal comfort. Rainwater is collected, filtered, & UV-treated for use throughout. Power is drawn from a substantial solar array with battery backup. Compostable Nespresso pods replace single-use plastics. Efficient heat pumps provide hot water, & wastewater is treated via an Aerobic Treatment Unit for irrigation.
KITCHEN & LIVING
Raking ceilings draw in northern sunlight. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors lead to a deck with lake views. The kitchen features all-black appliances including a 90cm induction cooktop, oven, & dishwasher. The Marri dining table seats 8, & the lounge accommodates 10. Essentials, eco-pods, & kitchen staples are provided.
BEDROOM SUITES
Four spacious master suites include king beds, ensuites, wardrobes, & private deck access. Maximum 8 guests, with one extra child or infant also allowed. All linen & spa towels included. Suites are allocated based on guest numbers; additional suites may be opened for an extra fee.
EXTRAS
Enjoy the dedicated theatre room with a 98” QLED TV and forest-themed wall. Outside, the 10-seat hydrotherapy spa is semi-sunken into the deck. Other amenities include a canoe, firepit (seasonal), washer/dryer, outdoor dining, & native landscaping. A Tesla Gen 3 EV charger is also available.
