If cool climate Tasmanian wine speaks to your inner holiday appetite, then this charming period cottage set in the hub of the 32 vineyards of the Tamar Valley will have you spoilt for choice. One of the original holiday houses in Gravelly Beach, built in 1945, Miss Adeline’s is designed especially for couples (but can sleep up to 4), and has been restored and styled by interior stylist Kim van Oosterom and her builder husband Thomas. Hues of black, white and baby pink run through the intimate rooms, creating a warm and comforting setting to indulge in local produce, read books by the wood heater, light candles, drink tea, and soak in the bath house. With views over the Tamar River, you can take your time walking and watching the native birdlife that passes you by. To venture further afield, pop into the local cafe or bakery, or spend a day on an organised wine tour with pick-up from your front door.
