Wildlife lovers will discover their own slow utopia driving into this 130-acre wildlife refuge at the foothills of Mount Cooroora – home of the infamous King of the Mountain race each year. Noosa Eco Retreat is a collection of six spacious yurts in the Noosa Hinterland, each named after feelings you experience when travelling, and furnished with sustainably milled floorboards, a kitchen built around raw timber, and eco-friendly bathroom stocked with Wallawa Indigenous botanical amenities. Outside lies your nature playground and Twitcher’s delight, where kangaroos and kookaburras stop by to say hi, and if you look closely you might spy tawny frogmouths, corollas, pheasant coucals, and Pacific baza. Canoe across the dam and walk into town, hit the trails of the Noosa Trail Network, or just enjoy the serene picnic spots and outdoor fire pit surrounded by flame lanterns.
