In a previous life, Dunmore Farm was an operating dairy, and before that, a place a young Ned Kelly visited. But following a full renovation of The Cottage at Dunmore in 2018 – almost 150 years after it was built – a slow and sustainable sensibility has moved in, along with the Angus Cattle who have run of the paddocks. Driving into the property has a tranquilising effect; your body knows it’s ready for time out. Restored and antique pieces complement luxury linens and Aesop amenities. Add a wood burner and claw foot bath, and a pre-ordered selection of food and wine from the nearby King Valley and Milawa regions and Ned most certainly wouldn’t recognise the place.
Things we love
Luxurious country feel
“I love luxury comforts and I wanted to bring those together so guests can have a really beautiful comfortable bed with gorgeous French linen but equally go outside and smell the cows”
~ Bec Macdougall, Dunmore Farm
