In a previous life, Dunmore Farm was an operating dairy, and before that, a place a young Ned Kelly visited. But following a full renovation of The Cottage at Dunmore in 2018 – almost 150 years after it was built – a slow and sustainable sensibility has moved in, along with the Angus Cattle who have run of the paddocks. Driving into the property has a tranquilising effect; your body knows it’s ready for time out. Restored and antique pieces complement luxury linens and Aesop amenities. Add a wood burner and claw foot bath, and a pre-ordered selection of food and wine from the nearby King Valley and Milawa regions and Ned most certainly wouldn’t recognise the place.
