The Hut at Cedar & Fern
Lakesland, NSW, Australia • Sleeps 2 | Bedroom 1 | Bathroom 1
If ever there was a place to self-isolate – without any of the Covid connotations – this bushranger-style hut nestled by a creek on Dharawal land, on the outskirts of the Southern Highlands, is it. At The Hut at Cedar & Fern you can find your breath again and sync into the rhythm of nature. Rise with the sun and wind down as the moon rises, curling up in the loft bedroom inside your hut, or dragging a swag out to sleep under the stars. Completely off-grid with a rustic outdoor shower and bath set amongst the ferns, the timber-clad hut has been built and filled with recycled and repurposed materials. Set on 50 acres, with two resident Scottish highland cows, availability is limited to respect the impact on the land and you’re invited to plant a tree during your stay. If you’re a horse owner, this is a special spot to holiday with your horses – a corral has been built to keep them close by.
